LINAGORA, a pioneer of open source software in France, has been awarded the CANUT contract, a framework agreement with the Centrale d'Achat du Numérique et des Télécoms dedicated to local authorities. This new recognition marks a significant step forward for LINAGORA in its mission to promote the technological independence of public authorities through Open Source solutions.

A Strategic Partnership for Technological Independence

Since its creation in 2000, LINAGORA has been committed to a 3rd digital way. The aim is to use Open Source technologies to provide local authorities with greater technological independence and digital sovereignty. The CANUT market enables public bodies to benefit from preferential purchasing conditions for their hardware, software and telecoms services requirements, thereby strengthening their technological autonomy.

A comprehensive, modular offering

Thanks to this framework agreement, LINAGORA offers a complete range of services and software solutions tailored to the needs of local authorities:

  • Feasibility studies and risk analyses for migrations to Open Source solutions.
  • Modular, scalable offering including videoconferencing, file sharing, office suite, corporate messaging, fleet management and call answering solutions via Twake Workplace.
  • Consulting, integration, support and maintenance services for Open Source software.
  • Deployment and operation of GNU/Linux servers.
  • Open Source generative AI technologies to help local authorities integrate sovereign artificial intelligence.

Objectives of the Agreement

  • The agreement focuses on several key areas:
  • Co-development of Innovative Projects: LINAGORA and CANUT will work together to create open source software solutions that meet the current challenges faced by local authorities. These projects will focus on performance, security and ease of systems integration.

  • Training and Support: The two companies will set up training programmes for public sector professionals. The aim is to build skills in open source technologies and provide ongoing support for successful adoption.

  • Strengthening digital security: The agreement provides for the development of solutions to secure local authority data and digital infrastructures, guaranteeing better protection against cyber threats.

A Sustainable and Ethical Commitment

LINAGORA stands out for its commitment to ethical, inclusive and sustainable digital technology. By providing open source alternatives to GAFAM solutions, the company is contributing to a "3rd Digital Way" that respects users' rights and the environment. Its flagship solutions include Twake Workplace, a comprehensive collaborative platform, and LinShare, a secure file-sharing tool.
