The OpenLLM-France consortium has submitted its response to the "Digital Commons for Generative Artificial Intelligence" call for projects.

The OpenLLM-France consortium has submitted its response to the government's "Digital Commons for Generative Artificial Intelligence" call for proposals and launched its dedicated website to mark the occasion!

Our ambition is clear: to develop a family of open, high-performance multimodal LLMs that are economical and cost-effective, to ensure efficiency, reliability, transparency and control, and to guarantee our sovereignty.

Why is this crucial? Because the current closed models have restrictive usage rights, cannot be inspected to guarantee the safety of their results, infringe our regulatory framework, muzzle the French-speaking world and largely ignore French culture...

And that their impact on the environment is considerable.

One of the keys to achieving this is pre-training on clean data, connected to secure knowledge bases. Our consortium brings together academic partners, data providers and industrial players, to ensure the alignment of models and their operational use. Together, we can achieve this ambition!

Together, let's shape the future of AI in France!
