The Matrix protocol guarantees better protection of privacy!

 

At a time when Telegram is in the news, Goodtech.info takes a look at the Matrix protocol.
It is an Open Source, decentralised protocol designed to create instant messaging systems that are much more respectful of privacy.


Unlike traditional messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, WeChat or Facebook Messenger, Matrix is not controlled by a single company, but is managed by an Open Source community open to all.

This is naturally the technical choice made by LINAGORA for its Twake Chat solution integrated with Twake Workplace.

    Example: Mozilla has replaced IRC with Matrix in 2019;

    This makes Matrix more resistant to censorship and service breakdowns;

  • Interoperability: You can communicate with users on other Matrix servers, even if you use different clients on different operating systems (Linux, macOS, Windows, Android, IOS, BSD, ChromeOS);

  • Advanced features: Matrix supports so-called bridges to other messaging networks, bots and chat rooms;
