Back to the biggest European event dedicated to free and open‑source software!
Benjamin Bellamy, our Business Development Manager for AI Solutions & Community Management, delivered two talks:
1. Amplifying Our Voices Without Compromise
How decentralized and open‑source technologies such as Fédiverse enable content creators to regain control of their audience and data, without relying on third‑party platforms.
2. Rethinking Audio Publishing
An approach centred on user autonomy and privacy.
These presentations showed that open protocols like RSS and ActivityPub are not only tools for publishing content; they also allow discovery, community building, and all of this without passing through the algorithms of U.S.‑based centralized platforms. Accessibility and discoverability of audio content lie at the heart of this approach.
This is a cause that matters to us. For six years, LinTO has been providing these capabilities to French‑language content through automatic transcription, well before solutions like Whisper from OpenAI appeared. This sovereign approach lets creators make their productions accessible to deaf and hard‑of‑hearing audiences while enhancing discoverability, all without depending on foreign technologies.
Radio stations, media outlets, creators, developers: how do you envision a future where audio is sovereign, accessible, and decentralized? ?
