LINAGORA joins the OW2 community 

The two chairmen, Pierre-Yves Gibello and Alexandre Zapolsky, made the agreement official at the latest Open Source Experience, held on 6 and 7 December.

As a pioneer of Open Source in France, this is a logical and natural return for LINAGORA to the OW2 community.

"Pierre-Yves, you're the Managing Director of OW2, and today we're making it official that LINAGORA is once again joining the OW2 community. We're delighted to be back with you, in a world we know well. 
We've been members for several years, and you yourself are a former employee of the company."

OW2 is an independent not-for-profit organisation open to companies, public bodies, universities and individuals.

More specifically, OW2 is a worldwide Open Source community of publishers of free software for professionals.

OW2 claims to be the only non-profit Open Source organisation of European origin and DNA.

OW2 is committed to developing a community of open source developers. The development of original code is one of its fundamental characteristics. OW2 defends the principles of quality and ease of use of Open Source software.

In particular, OW2 projects aim to facilitate the development, deployment and management of distributed applications by focusing on open source middleware and related development and management tools.

Finally, OW2 is also a catalyst for social interaction, a stakeholder in civil society based on five guiding principles: openness, fairness, trust, transparency and independence.

We obviously share these same values within the LINAGORA Group.
