LINAGORA creates the Villa Good Tech

We can't work the way we used to. COVID has been there. Companies have finally realised that teleworking is an opportunity and can foster employee commitment. Employees want to work for committed companies that can offer them professional and personal fulfilment. The days of offices in a grey tower in La Défense are over. Windows must be able to open!

LINAGORA has chosen to move into an iconic villa, a true masterpiece of contemporary architecture, designed by Eric Daniel-Lacombe, in order to provide a magnificent cocoon for its employees, but also to make it a unique place open to all players in "Good Tech", i.e. ethical, sustainable, responsible and Open Source Tech. To put LINAGORA's environmental commitments into practice, the Good Tech Villa will also be an open-air showcase for the best renewable energy production and management technologies.

An extraordinary space dedicated to the success and well-being of LINAGORA employees.

The aim is to provide ourselves with an extraordinary location (award-winning building, very high ceilings, monumental fireplace, terrace with swimming pool, direct access to the Seine, etc.) that meets new expectations in terms of flexibility in business organisation, and to invest in the well-being of our teams by offering them the best possible working conditions so that we can continue to create the best possible Free Software. Alexandre Zapolsky, CEO of LINAGORA, talks about the reasons behind his decision: "It has not escaped anyone's attention that the health crisis has given rise to a new way of organising work for companies. Over and above the use of teleworking, our employees, especially the younger ones, are looking for a new way of working. It seemed obvious to us that such expectations should spur us on to reinvent ourselves. We want to offer the very best to our employees and enable them to enjoy a truly new experience through their work. And let's face it: There's no reason why work can't be fun!

An open-air laboratory for implementing the best technologies to protect the planet

Since 2020, LINAGORA has been committed to an action plan called "Fantastic Enterprise", which aims to implement, on a daily basis and in a very concrete way, as many achievements as possible in line with one of the 17 sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations. For the company, the acquisition of this 'Villa Good Tech' is an ideal opportunity to accelerate its virtuous behaviour in favour of protecting the planet.

In very concrete terms, there are already plans to test a new generation of solar panel and roof-top wind turbine technology as a source of energy, and to encourage the use of soft mobility for employees who wish to take the plunge.

And this is just the beginning, as the company plans to take advantage of the support offered by the government to select and invest in new technologies (such as tidal turbines) to maximise the reduction in its carbon footprint.

Creating an emblematic Totem for the #GoodTechforGood community

The "Good Tech" Villa is intended to be the totem of the "Good Tech" community, which we define as the community of ethical, sustainable, responsible and Open Source Tech players. As a long-standing leader in the Free Software movement, LINAGORA's mission is to offer associations, companies and activists the opportunity to get together and invent the technologies that will help make the world a better place.

The "Good Tech" villa will be a wonderful embodiment of the LINAGORA Group's mission, vision and commitment since it was founded 22 years ago!
