When the 9ᵗʰ edition of Open Source Pro took place at the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée, we devoted our conference series to a theme that can no longer wait:
“Digital sovereignty: moving from words to action.”
Among the speakers, Arno Pons, General Director of the Digital New Deal Foundation, participated in an exciting round‑table built around a shared conviction:
- sovereignty is not proclaimed, it is built—through cooperation, measurement, and collective action.

During the session he presented, in particular, the Digital Resilience Index (DRI), developed by the Digital New Deal in partnership with LINAGORA—a tool for assessing digital dependencies and crafting concrete strategies for technological autonomy.
When discussing the new European regulations (DSA, DMA, Data Act, DGA…), Arno Pons reminded the audience that they represent an offensive opportunity for Europe: the chance to create its own trusted ecosystems capable of competing with the digital giants.
In this short video, he reflects on that evening, on the importance of bringing together the right stakeholders, sharing a common diagnosis, and turning cooperation into a collective movement.
Thank you to Arno Pons for his presence, clarity, and commitment.
It is together—among institutions, researchers, and businesses—that we will build a truly sovereign, open, and sustainable digital future.
