CNRS and LINAGORA sign strategic agreement
It was moving to hear these words from Sylvie Retailleau, our Minister for Higher Education and Research, at the opening of the ceremony celebrating the strategic agreement we have signed with the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS).
It's a message full of ambition and hope, and one that advocates collective action in favour of a digital 3rd way in France and Europe.
The same one that is at the origin of the entrepreneurial adventure that has carried the entire LINAGORA group for 25 years.
"As the French leader in Free Software and Open Source, LINAGORA is providing a response to technological dependency. One more step, you will have understood, towards the digital sovereignty of our country."
1- This agreement is not the fruit of chance, but the result of more than 10 years of diverse and fruitful cooperation, as well as 2 intensive years of exchanges and structuring to arrive at this formalisation of a common scientific roadmap.
2- This step symbolises the consolidation of this already rich partnership, illustrating the exceptional synergy between public research and the industrial sector. First and foremost, this agreement demonstrates the ability of one of France's leading research bodies, the CNRS, to work with our most innovative companies and SMEs.
3- It shows that it is possible to develop more sovereign alternatives to existing solutions in the digital sector.
4- By putting fundamental research discoveries into practice, LINAGORA helps to transform them into innovative solutions that meet real user needs and pave the way for new business opportunities.
5- The joint scientific roadmap between the CNRS and LINAGORA highlights the need for generative AI to be developed on open and sovereign foundations to enable controlled adoption and widespread acceptance of its uses.
6- The future collaboration between CNRS and LINAGORA is part of a broader vision, that of a digital ecosystem where technology serves people and respects our fundamental values.
7- This strategic partnership is not just an alliance for technological innovation, it is also a commitment to a new model of digital development that is responsible, inclusive and sustainable.
