Capitole du Libre

LINAGORA looks forward to seeing you this weekend in Toulouse for the 2023 Capitole du Libre at the ENSEEIHT!

Like every year, we're supporting these key days of meetings and sharing in the French librarian landscape, with 4 workshops and conferences put on by our Linagorians: a big THANK YOU to them!

  1. - Reconciling the irreconcilable: building a product in symbiosis with a free project - 18 Nov - 11:00 -11:25 (Europe/Paris)
    - Building a free community means taking the time, being accommodating, agreeing and finding common ground...
    - In business, it's all about working towards a vision that is singular and unique. We need to operate pragmatically and efficiently, leaving no room for chance, and it's often tempting to impose our decisions.
    - How do you reconcile these two worlds?

  2. - JMAP: the protocol that is revolutionising email - 18 Nov - 11:30 -11:55 (Europe/Paris)
    - Put away IMAP and SMTP. These ageing protocols don't meet today's technological challenges. Verbose, with hard parsing, a lot of back and forth on the network, and semantics that are sometimes haphazard: more than a generation of IT specialists have torn their hair out!
    - Whith Benoit Tellier

  3. - Voice Chatbots on your websites: Liberate the Web with LinTO, the Inclusive Conversational Agent - 18 Nov - 16:30 - 18:30 (Europe/Paris)
    - "Ok Google" and "Alexa" on your website? It's possible! And entirely Open Source. Explore how LinTO, the conversational voice agent, is revolutionising interaction with websites, offering the possibility of voice control, conversation and even dictation directly into a website, all without relying on the tech giants.
    - With Damien Lainé

  4. - Open Source / Open Core reversion strategy - 18 Nov - 17:00-17:25 (Europe/Paris)
    - Most organisations and developers know what open source and open core are. Few are really aware of the incredible playground this offers developers and the global dynamic to which large companies (CAC40/Fortune 100) are already contributing.
-LINAGORA recently carried out a study to reinforce the "open source contribution reflex" and identify opportunities for large companies to give code back to communities.
