Anonymity on the Internet, creation of an interministerial committee on AI

Our Chairman Alexandre Zapolsky was joined by Tariq Krim (entrepreneur and founder of cybernetica.fr ) and Julien Pillot, economist and teacher-researcher (INSEEC), as Delphine Sabattier's guest.

Here's an extract with 3 strong messages delivered for the occasion:

  • Towards the programmed end of anonymity on the Internet?

"It makes perfect sense for legislators and politicians to take an interest in a social problem. It's a fact that there's a problem in society today, with harassment, with the aggressive side of what can be found on social networks. This has very concrete, very real consequences.
It can even lead to the death of teenagers. It's not just a subject for specialists, it's not just a subject for experts. The consequences of the Internet affect French people in their daily lives."

  • Creation of an interministerial committee on AI: let's retain the good momentum underway!

"Let's rejoice! Last June, at VivaTech, the French President gave a seminal speech, taking 2 hours to talk about artificial intelligence, and he made it very clear: France supports Open Source, France loves Open Source!
I was at the DLD in Munich with our European counterparts. Everyone told me about the French President's speech, and asked me one thing: to what extent he can take a leadership role in getting Europe moving."

  • His message on AI at the United Nations General Assembly...

"You have very substantial resources, you deal with issues such as world hunger, etc... Well, manage intelligence in the world and allow us to build Open Source generative AI, by giving us the means!"
