Open source in Europe: a paradox to be resolved

Open source in Europe: a paradox to be resolved

The figures have just been released. The new study by the Linux Foundation Europe is clear: over 90% of European organisations use and recognise the value of open source.
And yet...

Only 34% have a genuine strategy.
Barely 22% have an OSPO (Open Source Program Office).

That is the paradox: Europe loves open source, but has not yet given itself the means to use it. And without a clear vision, it runs the risk of losing its lead, and with it, its digital sovereignty.

At LINAGORA, we refuse to accept this inevitability. For over 25 years, we have made open source not a secondary tool, but the core of our mission: to build a free, open and sovereign digital world.

From our Twake suite at LinTO to our recent work in AI with LUCIE and OpenRAG, we strive to make technology accessible, transparent and available to all.

Parce que l’avenir du numérique européen ne peut pas se limiter à consommer des solutions venues d’ailleurs. Il doit se bâtir, ici, avec nous.
