LUCIE has not disappeared! Its foundation model, LUCIE 7B, is still available on Hugging Face and continues to evolve. Alexandre Zapolsky assures us that LINAGORA's mission remains the same: to create AI that is truly opensource, transparent and ethical.

In concrete terms, why do we say that LUCIE is a sovereign and transparent AI?

   - 65,000 downloads of training data
   - No restrictions on use, unlike proprietary models
    
2. LUCIE is an evolving research project, not a finished product. LUCIE.chat was therefore put online to enhance its training with real-life interactions.
    

3. The interest aroused by LUCIE confirms the expectations of the French for a sovereign AI. As demonstrated by the success of Mistral and other initiatives, there is a place for French and European artificial intelligence that is not dominated by the American and Chinese giants.
