The name LINAGORA. On the NVIDIA screen. In front of GTC 2026.
For those who are not familiar with GTC: it is NVIDIA’s large annual meeting, followed by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. Jensen Huang uses the event to announce what he considers the forces that will shape AI.
This year, he mentioned LINAGORA, not because of our size, but because of our approach: building sovereign, open‑source, multilingual AI models trained on transparent data, on the French Jean Zay infrastructure, with GENCI and operated by IDRIS (CNRS), within the OpenLLM France consortium.
NVIDIA phrased it like this: Open source has become a global force for innovation. We have been saying the same thing for 25 years.
And this is not accidental. While for many years open‑source AI could be seen as the choice of idealists, today it is the strategic choice endorsed by the largest organisations.
