"It’s only a goodbye, because we’ve really enjoyed being here."
That’s what Georges Abolin told us at the end of his interview, recorded on the occasion of his farewell party… And he almost brought a tear to our eye!
Georges joined us from Centrale Lyon, already with a solid knowledge of LINAGORA.
“I really started from scratch. What I liked was precisely the challenge of having to develop the entire IT architecture.”
During his internship, he therefore developed a bot to automate part of the responses to users and lighten the support workload. And he saw the project through to the end: contract fulfilled, right on schedule.
Beyond his impressive work ethic, what we especially appreciated about him was his friendliness. We can never stress enough: behind our products there are people. And being able to carve out a place in the company is important. ➡️ Before we even realized it, Georges became known and liked by everyone. It should be said that with his famous T‑shirt “Proud to do free software,” he blended in quite nicely
His farewell party is probably the best illustration: he shared it with Léopold Forest, another one of our interns, with whom he got along very well. Alexandre Zapolsky and Michel‑Marie MAUDET, our two co‑founders, were also present.

So yes, Georges is finishing his internship. But we prefer to remember his words: it’s only a goodbye. We truly enjoyed supporting him at this stage of his journey.
That’s also the role we want to play for these young engineers: to give them space to explore and build, to support them in their projects… And, why not, to see them back with us someday.
