AlpOSS: When Nicolas Vivant's microphone resonates with digital independence

Following AlpOSS, we lent our microphone to Nicolas Vivant!
You may have already heard a short excerpt in one of our previous posts… here is the full version

The Director of Strategy and Digital Culture of the City of Échirolles and co‑organizer of AlpOSS, Nicolas returns with us to discuss what constitutes the event’s DNA and, more broadly, the challenges of Free Software and Open Source.

« The idea is not to be dependent on the major American, Russian, or Chinese technology actors, but to be master of our own digital destiny, to be master of our data. »

With more than 500 participants for this third edition, AlpOSS continues to grow while preserving what gives it strength: an open, friendly event deeply rooted in the free‑software ecosystem.

A huge thank‑you to those who make this event possible:
Pierre‑Yves Gibello and OW2, Belledonne Communications | Linphone, Numérique en Commun[s] in the Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes Region, ANCT – National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, and SITPI.

Thank you again to Nicolas for this behind‑the‑scenes interview, filmed at La Rampe, and for his commitment to a more free public digital sphere. And let’s not forget our reporter and voice‑over, Benjamin Bellamy.
