AlpOSS ‘Alpes Open Source Software’ is aimed at software publishers, service providers, local authorities and open source users in the broadest sense. The aim of the conference is to create links between suppliers of innovative open source technologies and users, to discuss collaboration models and business models, and to structure and energise the local ecosystem.
AlpOSS is more than just conferences and workshops. It's also a great opportunity to network and share ideas.
Andrzej Neugebauer - AI Program Director - LINAGORA will be presenting LUCIE, the truly open source LLM from the OpenLLM community.
LUCIE has been in the spotlight over the last few days. This media exposure, which has extended beyond our borders, should not overshadow the demonstration of strength of the LUCIE research project, which today represents the 1st truly open source foundation model.
LUCIE is an initiative led by a community of Open Source artificial intelligence experts, OpenLLM-France, and supported by LINAGORA, a company that has been committed to its customers' technological independence for 25 years.
In 2023, LINAGORA mobilised this community, which now includes more than 1,100 researchers, engineers and experts, to create a foundation model: a flexible and reusable AI model that can be applied to a wide range of fields.
The aim is twofold: to reduce Europe's dependence on the models of GAFAM and Chinese companies, which currently control the bulk of AI technologies, and to demonstrate that it is possible to build an LLM language model in France, based on open governance and transparent data.
