Facing the major challenges of digital sovereignty, the answer begins with education; training young people is preparing society to take back control of its Digital Future.
This is the strong message conveyed by Audran Le Baron, Director of Digital for Education, during OpenSourcePro 9, our Club dedicated to CIOs.
“We talked a lot about sovereignty tonight… but in order to discuss it, we first need to know what we’re talking about. Knowing what we’re talking about means educating our students—our future citizens—about what digital means and how to act upon it.”
For him, digital sovereignty starts at school:
“That is the whole role of school: to build tomorrow’s sovereignty by turning our students into informed citizens, and for some, into digital experts capable of constructing the sovereignty we all need.”
A powerful message: the digital autonomy of France and Europe is shaped mainly in our classrooms, by giving young people the keys to understand, create, and master the technologies they will use tomorrow.
Thanks to Audran Le Baron for this inspiring vision and his commitment to making education a pillar of digital sovereignty.
