This weekend, Twake.ai, our open‑source and sovereign digital workplace, is about to step onto the steps of the Élysée Palace.
By choosing our platform, the jury of the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France 2025 honors the entire “Logiciels et Solutions Numériques de Confiance” (Trusted Digital Software and Solutions) sector gathered under the CSF (Strategic Sector Committee).
Among more than 2,200 applications, only two digital products were distinguished: those of our colleagues Olvid (congratulations to them!) and ours.
Our two founders, Alexandre Zapolsky and Michel‑Marie Maudet, will be on site on 15 and 16 November to meet visitors and showcase Twake. It will be an opportunity to learn more about LINAGORA, our software, our 25‑year fight for the digital sovereignty of our country, and our projects.
We are not a typical company. We are a company of combat. Since our creation in 2000 we have fought every day for a third digital pathway to emerge.
We have always believed that there is no inevitability and that a European digital ecosystem can exist as an alternative to the American or Chinese models.
From day one our conviction has been that this is possible thanks to Open Source and Digital Commons. By pooling our talents, strengths, and development capabilities we can compete – and even surpass – the BigTech giants. For that we must work together.
We are at a turning point.
Europe and France must choose their destiny. Collectively in Europe we cannot continue to spend over €260 billion on American software and cloud services. This model is neither economically viable nor acceptable.
The same applies to France. Digital services constitute our second trade deficit. We spend €54 billion per year on American suppliers alone. This is unsustainable. That money—from businesses, public administrations, and all French citizens—would be better spent on French software (or not spent at all).
We must revive the slogan: “Our purchases are our jobs!”
We must, at all costs, develop our digital sovereignty. Otherwise we risk a lasting economic weakening and remain a digital colony of the United States.
This is the very essence of our commitment and that of the sector’s actors.
“Made in France” is not just a label; it is a battle.
This weekend at the Élysée, the soldiers of our sovereignty will gather to demonstrate what an ambitious, conquering France can achieve at its best!
We are proud to be part of it.
