Node.js
Node.js is an open source, cross-platform JavaScript run-time environment that executes Javascript code server-side. Node uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model that makes it lightweight and efficient.
Npm’s package ecosystem is the largest of open source libraries in the world. Node is usually tied with other js front-end technologies as react or angular, and can be used throught a lot of development frameworks to accelerate development: Express.js, Meteor, Socket.IO, Sails.js… This Javascript platform is one of these technologies that are able to build scalable, real time and modern digital services.

Inside LINAGORA
LINAGORA loves Node 🙂 Developers use node since 2011 to build digital platforms.
More specifically, we use this technology as the foundation for the OpenPaaS functional back-end, and we build with node.js real time collaborative tools for our customers. This technology is a real revolution that provides efficient digital services for users.
Our contributions and activities
We offer different Open Source products based on nodejs: www.open-paas.org, www.hubl.in and we also have built mobile application (Cordova, Angular, Node) and collaborative tools (classified ads portal, chat platforms…) for different clients. As soon as it’s possible (if our clients are ok), we push the code on github.
