AI: training creators, not just users? 

"The real question is: do we want the next generation to be AI users or AI builders?"
During the “AI Native Generation: Building an AI-Ready Society” panel at ICT Week Uzbekistan, Alexandre Zapolsky, shared a point that is fundamentally at the heart of what we believe at LINAGORA: giving young people access to AI is not enough.

If they only use closed-source models, they may become more productive AI users. But they won’t necessarily understand what is behind these technologies, or be able to build their own.

That’s where Open Source AI comes in.
It gives the next generation the opportunity to explore how these technologies work, experiment, break things, rebuild them, and eventually create models adapted to their own needs and their own countries.

That is how we learned to build software. 
And that is what we need to do with AI.
